I was excited to finally receive my copy of the new issue of Causeway / Cabhsair magazine the other day. I have a new poem in the magazine, titled “The Hammerbeam Roof at Darnaway Castle, Moray”.
The poem was written after visiting Darnaway and researching the castle when I was writing “Daughters of the North: Jean Gordon and Mary, Queen of Scots”, and explores some of the details I discovered in a slightly different way.
