great to get this back from the printers!

“The History of the Kessock Ferry Swim” is a special booklet I’ve researched and written, a commission from the charity Àban Outdoor.
Swimming the route of the Kessock Ferry is a long tradition in Inverness, and it was revived as a charity event last year by Àban.
Over the last few months, I’ve been researching the swim in archives and libraries, and interviewing people who swam the route in the past, including Inverness Olympian Ian Black. It’s been a great commission, and I’ve really enjoyed hearing the fantastic stories.

The booklet will be on sale at this year’s Kessock Ferry Swim, which takes place on 25th June. Entries to the swim itself are sold out, but large crowds are expected to watch and it should be a fantastic day out. More details from Àban’s website here: https://aban.scot/kessock-ferry-swim/overview
Copies of the booklet will also be available for sale online afterwards, from Àban’s website.
If you have a commission for research and writing, please use the Contact page on my website to get in touch. Previous commissions have included work with Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, and researching and writing family history.
