The new issue of Northwords Now is out now, and it features an article I wrote about Norn, the extinct language once spoken in the far north of Scotland and the northern isles – its link to the Faroe Islands, and why it’s being used in a contemporary song by Faroese band Hamradun.

The whole magazine has a Faroese flavour, including this great picture on the front. And, on the back cover, you can find an advert for my new book “Jofrid Gunn”, which includes a discount code so readers of Northwords Now can get money off if they order direct from my publisher.

This issue also includes some reviews I wrote.
You can pick up Northwords Now for free at bookshops, libraries and many other venues across Scotland, including the museum and Waterstones in Inverness, or you can read it all (also free) online:

Finally, a reminder that there is a book launch for my new book “Jofrid Gunn” on Saturday 9th August at 2pm in Waterstones in Inverness – all welcome.
