I will be at Pitlochry Festival Theatre Winter Words Festival on Friday 13th February, talking about Josephine Tey.

I will be speaking about the research and writing of my biography “Josephine Tey: A Life”, and discussing the successful campaign to have a blue plaque installed to commemorate Tey in Inverness. The event starts at 1pm in the Studio, and runs for approximately 1 hour.

Tickets are on sale now via the Pitlochry Festival Theatre website: https://www.pitlochryfestivaltheatre.com/whats-on/josephine-tey-a-life/, or you can call the box office on 01796 484626. Do check out the rest of the programme as well – there are discounts for people booking more than one event, and the option of buying a Festival Pass. There is also a member discount.
The Winter Words Festival is in its 22nd year, and features authors, poets, broadcasters and chefs for a celebration of Scotland’s rich artistic, literary, historical and cultural life. It runs from 12-15 February, and is curated by Artistic Director Alan Cumming.
Booking is also now open for the course I am teaching on Tey at the University of Oxford this summer: https://lifelong-learning.ox.ac.uk/courses/The-woman-who-knew-too-much-the-crime-fiction-of-Josephine-Tey
