Poetry Reading for International Women’s Day

Next Saturday, 7th March, I will be reading poetry at Rebel Row in Inverness, from 2-4pm, as part of an event they are holding for International Women’s Day.

Rebel Row on Union Street in Inverness is the flagship store for Prickly Thistle mill. Their website with full event listings is here: https://pricklythistle.shop/pages/rebel-row-events, and you can read more about Prickly Thistle, their tartan mill, and their ethical clothing here: https://pricklythistle.shop/pages/about-us

The shop regularly hosts events – and displays art – and I previously did a talk there about my book “Daughters of the North: Jean Gordon and Mary, Queen of Scots” where, memorably, a French tour group appeared in full historical Highland dress:

I can’t promise that will happen again, but the shop is known for hosting entertaining events! I will be reading poetry from my book “Jofrid Gunn”, and there will also be Gaelic poetry, and other special guests.

The event is free and informal, and you can drop in any time between 2-4pm. The shop will be open as normal (10am-5pm), so you can browse the clothes. I will also have books available for sale.
