With the imminent release of a new film about Mary, Queen of Scots, I have an article in today’s National newspaper examining the enduring fascination with Mary, and the casting of films and plays about her life.

Included is a look at the 1934 Josephine Tey / Gordon Daviot play “Queen of Scots”, which starred Gwen Ffrangcon-Davies and Laurence Olivier.
