A reminder that I will be doing an online talk for History Scotland magazine about my new book “Daughters of the North: Jean Gordon and Mary, Queen of Scots” TOMORROW (Tuesday 19th April) at 6:30pm.

The talk will focus on the downfall of the Huntly family – the dramatic defeat of Jean Gordon’s father George Gordon by James Stewart, 1st Earl of Moray and what that then meant for the Huntly family and, more widely, for the Scotland of Mary Queen of Scots.
