Highland Book Prize – talk

On Thursday 30th March I will be doing a special talk in Waterstones Inverness for the Highland Book Prize.

My book “Daughters of the North: Jean Gordon and Mary, Queen of Scots” has been longlisted for the Highland Book Prize, and this talk is part of a series of events celebrating each of the 12 titles on the list.

The event will run from 3-4pm, and is free, though the organisers ask that people book a place to give them an idea of numbers. The booking page with all the information is here: https://www.moniackmhor.org.uk/courses/highland-book-prize-longlist-events-jennifer-morag-henderson/
I hope to see people there!

I also have an event coming up the following month: on Thursday 20th April at 7pm I will be speaking to Clyne Heritage Society, in the Community Centre Lounge, Brora Primary School. Admission is free. Brora is where Jean Gordon established her salt mines and coal business, and I’m pleased to be talking about my book in an area that is so crucial to the story, and looking forward to discussing the local history and its wider significance.
