Next week I am going to London for the St Andrew’s Book Festival, where I’ll be speaking about my books at two events.
On Thursday 27th November at 6pm I will be reading from “Jofrid Gunn” as part of a poetry showcase at St. Columba’s Church (Lower Hall) Knightsbridge, London, SW1X 0BD. The poetry showcase will be hosted by Laurie Bolger, and the other readings are from Suzannah V. Evans and Taylor Strickland. Then on Saturday 29th November at 12.30 I will be discussing my book “Daughters of the North: Jean Gordon and Mary, Queen of Scots” with Rosemary Goring, chaired by Fiona Lindsay. This is also at St. Columba’s Church (Lower Hall), Knightsbridge, London, SW1X 0BD. It will be special to present two of my books at this London festival celebrating Scottish writing.
And finally, some advance warning for future events in 2026: I will be talking about “Jofrid Gunn” at the Inverness Field Club on 21st January, and discussing my biography “Josephine Tey: A Life” at Pitlochry Winter Words Festival in February.
