I have an article in the new History Scotland magazine: the January / February 2020 issue, which is in shops now.

The article is highlighted on the front cover – “The Tragic Tale Behind A Remarkable Jacobite Collection” – and it tells the story behind the Emilie May Bowerbank collection in Inverness Museum.

I gave a talk about Emilie May Bowerbank earlier this year to the Inver Outlanders group, who were fascinated by this Gin Heiress Jacobite. My article in History Scotland goes into Emilie May’s life in more detail, as well as giving some information about Inverness Museum’s new plans for their Jacobite collections.
