On Thursday the 9th January 2020, I’ve been invited to speak as part of a panel on Highland Crime Writing.
The event is at Waterstone’s Inverness at 6:30pm, and is part of a launch for Tain-based author Helen Sedgwick’s new book “When The Dead Come Calling”:
“In the first of the Burrowhead Mysteries, an atmospheric murder investigation unearths the brutal history of a village where no one is innocent…”
Helen will be introducing her book with a short reading, and we’ll then join her for the panel: the other writers appearing are SG MacLean, Margaret Kirk and Barbara Henderson. I’ll be speaking about Josephine Tey and the history of crime writing in the Highlands, and we’ll all be talking about the variety and vibrancy of Highland crime writing generally – it looks set to be an interesting discussion! All welcome.
