Today is the official publication day for the new edition of my biography of Josephine Tey.

Here is an article that has just appeared in the Press & Journal online, which has a little bit more about Tey, the new edition – and also an update on the plans for a blue plaque in Inverness for Josephine Tey:
I am really pleased to say we are making good progress on the plans for a blue plaque. There is a considerable amount of red tape and planning details that need to be worked through, but I’m happy to share this statement from Inverness City Heritage Trust, who manage the plaque scheme in Inverness:
“The board of Inverness City Heritage Trust support the proposal to erect a plaque to commemorate the life and work of playwright and novelist Josephine Tey. We are working with Jennifer Morag Henderson on the wording of the plaque which we hope will be installed on the Highland Housing Alliance property on Castle Street when it is completed next year.”
Thank you very much to everyone who has taken the time to contact me about the plaque: your statements in support of the idea made a big difference, as I was able to demonstrate clearly just how much interest there was in Tey’s work. I will post more updates when I can!
Hooray!!! I look forward to checking out the new bits. 🙂
